Pir-e Changi Symphonic Poem
The symphonic poem Pir-e Changi by Bahar Barkhordar is based on Rumi's story of Pir-e Changi, as told in Book One of the Masnavi-ye Ma'navi. The work is conceived as a single symphonic movement comprising seven episodes, which together narrate the story of Pir-e Changi. Its composition and orchestration take an innovative approach rooted in elements of Persian classical music.
